  2. @Kim Carberry: Thank you! My first bracing walk after Christmas today and I loved it. This was the only part of the beach that had some sand and it stood out to me. I had to take a photo :-)

  3. Looks lovely, Jazzy. It's definitely good to get out in some fresh air after all the festive feasting. Although I much prefer being by the fire!

  4. @Tracey: It sure was refreshing. I did end up back home on the sofa, gorging Christmas cake and a takeaway dinner. With wine. Of course!!

  6. Lovely lovely photo...I adore the ocean...especially in winter time...although, we have had so much snow and ice-we haven't been able to visit in quite some time...

  7. @Rachel: It was so lovely to be there today, especially since it rained all evening! I had a lovely Christmas thanks, hope you did too :-)

@kathleen: Winter time is a lovely time for beaches I always think. We're lucky to be so close to ours that we can access it no matter the weather. Hope you get to visit your closest one soon!

    Thanks for your comments :-)

  10. Lovely picture - I much prefer the beach when it is cold and there is no one else on it!

  11. A beautiful picture and I especially like the close up of the pebbles - a beach walk in the winter is something I really love, such a great break away from feeling bloated in a stuffy house xx

  13. @Michelle Jackson Rowe: Thanks. Yes, a semi-deserted beach is lovely!

@Looking for Blue Sky: That's exactly it. Unfortunately I didn't get to follow up with another walk today!

@Bright Side of Life: Thanks. It's not the nicest beach in the world as it's very rocky but I consider myself lucky to have it at our doorstep :-)

Thanks for all your comments :-)
