  2. @BavarianSojourn: My dad. I know it's hard to read but the one on the left is from an Ireland/England game in 1964 and the other is a Homefarm (Irish team)?Man United game in 1980! I only came across them 2 days ago...

  7. @Blue Sky: yes it is, really takes you aback when you come across them!

@Sarahmumof3: Very old memorabilia...almost as old as me!!

@Danielle Adams: yes, my dad would have agreed with that!! it would have been a HUGE deal to see such matches in 1964 and 1980. HUGE.

@helloitsgemma: I came across them 2 days ago, in a box of old stuff I'd taken from my mam's house to mind 7 years ago!

@Coombe Mill: Sure is!I had to post them here for posterity and will keep them with all my show programmes which go back to the '80's.

Thanks for all your comments, especially new visitors.... thanks for dropping in.

  8. Can you imagine Man Utd playing a team called Home Farm these days? It would be like Madonna singing in the school Christmas concert. Love it.

  9. we found an FA cup final brochure when we moved into our house. I admit we ebayed it so it found a better home - we loved looking at the adverts in it though

  10. @Midlife Singlemum: I know!Hard to believe but get this.... I think they played shamrock rovers this year, but in a fabulous stadium!

@Jenny@ Hmmm....cool idea and admittedly one that entered my head last night!

@Not a Notting Hill Mum: Good idea! I did think of doing that with my show programmes too but I'd need a whole room just to display them!

    Thank for your comments :-)

  11. Home Farm are a team over near Drumcondra. Bill worked at a tyre place that sponsored them, and they used to use their car park for Croker matches, donating the proceeds to the team. He had a Home Farm winter fleece until I donated it to Vinnies!
